Char Kuey Tiao @ Jalan Daud

Mister Coffee Station @ Jalan Meriam

Most people only go to the café with their friends after dinner. But how about choosing a different time zone: breakfast, high tea or lunch?Yes, we chose to come to this Mister Coffee for our so called lunch at this high tea hour-3:30pm.
This Mister Coffee is located right beside the Shell Petrol Station (at the main Bakri Roundabout). In other word, it just located at the beginning of third road (San Ma Lu). Mister Coffee provides the parking spots for their customers, but I think they are kinda limited to a certain numbers of customer only. It’s definitely based on first come first serve basis. Additionally, you will also notice a lot of businessman are drinking coffee over there.
Mister Coffee provides variety types of coffee as per the café name has suggested. Most coffee is come in a small cup (espresso cup I assume) and each of them has their own origin place to be related with. None of us actually took up the espresso coffee, yet I ordered a Cappuccino and Hpl ordered a Hazelnut Latte. Although I wasn’t the one that is qualified to judge the quality of a coffee, but I would say this Cappuccino tastes good. I tasted bits of bitter and sweet in this Cappuccino. The price of a Cappuccino is relatively higher than the traditional coffee’s but for me it’s still acceptable. Perhaps its still cheaper than any Cappuccino that I would have found in KL. I took a sip of HPL’s Hazelnut Latte and I found it thick yet a lil bit sweet for me. Would it possibly because I just drank a Cappuccino with no sugar? However, Hpl thought that the sweetness of this latte is just fine for her, and it really depends on how you gonna judge the price of it. Some might think its expensive but if you are the one that is willing to pay a little bit more to try a coffee, then why don’t give it a try?

Stt ordered a daily special: kung pau chicken rice and lemon tea. When the set meal was served, her 101 response was the food was presented well. A lemon leave was placed on the lemon tea and the food was organized nicely on the plate. I would say its just worth the price you are paying. I ordered a Sin Chew Fried Mee Hun and I think it was great because of the companion of sambal. Hpl ordered a kaya and butter toast. She thought the toast was good because the butter was melted in between both toast and this melted butter had just complemented the taste.

According to the menu, this café provides Nasi Beringin on both Wednesday and Saturday. I personally wanted to try on this dishes because the name is really attractive to me. If you had tried this Nasi Beringin before, could you please just share us its specialties?

Nine Emperor Gods Festival

Muar Kaki
